Your new company
Our client is an Australian government financial intelligence agency responsible for monitoring financial transactions to identify money laundering, organised crime, tax evasion, welfare fraud and terrorism financing.

Your new role
You will be working in a team tasked with the assistance and design of a major system transformational project that is expected to run for another three years, and to aid with staff management across a series of key projects.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need demonstrated success with the following:

• Full stack Java implementations using message bus implementations.
• Ability to collaborate with business subject matter experts and various Engineering and Technology teams to collect requirements and define, design, develop, test and support applications.
• Strong understanding and knowledge of development concepts and implementation experience with message buses, especially Kafka.
• Ability to support end-to-end functional testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) experience of applications.
• Ability to provide strategic thinking, solutions and roadmaps while driving enterprise recommendations while ensuring adherence to standards and establish standards where they may not yet exist.
• Demonstrated understanding of both the business process(es) and the technical application of the Framework(s) with which they’re involved.
• Ability to ensure that systems are built for change, are reusable, and maintainable.
• 5+ years of experience working on software development projects.
• Clearance required: Must be able to obtain an NV1 clearance.
