This organisation is a national not-for-profit that provides various community support services throughout Australia. Driving a variety of initiatives in metro and regional WA, this organisation focuses on the development of person-centred clinical services. This position is based at a residential house in the Perth metropolitan area and is focused on supporting those affected by homelessness.

Your new role
As Team Leader you are responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the homelessness support services. Reporting to the Area Manager you will provide support on staff performance discussions and monitoring workflows. You will coordinate and lead a small team of Case Managers, contribute to the outcomes of Residential Support Services and ensure the consistency of service delivery.

Key position requirements:

  • Evaluate suitability of the clients for the services by conducting over the phone and formal face-to-face assessments
  • Data entry and record keeping of client intakes and assessments
  • Maintain your own case load and provide outreach services
  • Lead a small team of clinicians and provide support with complex cases
  • Assisting participants to move into more independent living where applicable
  • Collaborate with your team members to evaluate risk assessments
  • Operational management of workflow and service delivery

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need relevant experience working within mental health, homelessness, alcohol and other drugs and family domestic violence. You will need proven leadership experience including staff supervision, management of workflows and maintaining positive team culture.

  • Tertiary healthcare qualification
  • Proven experience working with vulnerable people in a residential setting
  • Clinical experience in FDV, AOD, homelessness and mental health
  • Demonstrated capacity to lead and develop strong team culture
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of relevant policy/legislation and ability to provide advice to your team
  • Working with Children Check
  • National Police Check
  • Drivers Licence
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
