Systems Administrator position within a large organisation available with hybrid working model!

Your new company
An exciting temporary Systems Administrator job within a large Education Organisation is available to start immediately working full time hours until December 2023 with potential to go permanent. Located in the beautiful area of Gippsland, the Systems Administrator will be responsible for the ongoing development of the current system and associated interfaces to maximise the usage and functionality of the system.

You will be responsible for the following;
  • Analyse, model and develop current and future state business processes
  • Act as the internal and external liaison and escalation point for logging and resolving issues with the systems vendor.
  • Deliver training and ongoing support to new and existing system users
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and guidelines is reflected in all system reporting and usage
  • Exercise sound judgment in relation to day-to-day decision-making on change requests.
  • Administer and determine appropriate user access
  • Assess and troubleshoot technical issues, system errors and defects through analysis, investigation, referring to subject experts as required and problem solving to provide resolutions.
  • Develop, implement and maintain system report templates to support placement reporting needs of the Institute.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities to ensure requests and system outcomes are handled in a timely manner.
  • Other Ad-hoc duties as required

What you’ll need to succeed
  • Deep understanding of administration processes associated with Student Systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build stakeholder relationships and collaborate across a variety of business areas
  • Demonstrated initiative with an ability to operative positively, proactively and flexibly
  • Ability to work independently in an ambiguous environment, to prioritise work demands, to respond to urgent requests when required and to manage confidential and sensitive material.
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge to produce reports and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Strong commitment to exemplary customer service
  • Ability to adapt to working in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Strong analysis, problem solving, decision making and modelling skills
  • Excellent planning, time management and organisation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages
