Your new company

A major government agency responsible for providing shared services ICT support across the whole of the Victorian Government is searching for an experienced procurement expert for a 6 month contract responsible for a diverse range of sourcing activities.

Your new role

As the Category Specialist, you will be responsible for efficiently managing numerous sourcing and procurement events and activities, working with and supporting various stakeholders.

Reporting to the Senior Category Manager - ICT, you’ll be developing and issuing procurement documents and delivering subject matter expertise at all points of the end-to-end sourcing process. You’ll also advise on and support the drafting of commercial contracts and advise on probity matters for leveraged sourcing events.

What you'll need to succeed

All candidates will naturally demonstrate strong communication skills both written and verbal and will be able to influence a range of stakeholders. As the successful candidate this will be paramount, combined with your strong knowledge and experience in the end-to-end sourcing process and analysis of market position.

This will be backed with your experience of managing ICT sourcing events (>$1.0m) with a focus of ICT professional services.

What you'll get in return

A 6 month contract with a flexible working arrangement, located in a convenient central CBD location with the opportunity to have key involvement in major sourcing events. A VPS5 equivalent rate of $73-79 per hour plus superannuation is on offer for the successful candidate.
