Your new role
This role has been newly created due to the expansion of the organisation and will report directly to the Finance Superintendent. You will be assisting in the implementation of a new company project. On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Conducting variance analysis and accurate financial reporting
• Reviewing budget and forecasts to provide corrective recommendations
• Management of month end processes and project commentary to leadership
• Internal audit of project contracts and procedures
• Other project ad hoc duties as required

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in your application, you will be a tertiary qualified accountant with:

• Site based mining experience or experience working in heavy industry
• Ability to relocate to the Mackay region or DIDO/FIFO to site
• Focus on business partnering to drive business performance and foster a strong team culture
• CA/ CPA professional membership preferred, however not essential
