Your new role
As the Senior Speech Pathologist you will join a newly established clinic that consists of clinical specialists in early developmental delay and autism. In joining this team as a senior clinician you will be utilising your expertise in early intervention and paediatrics to deliver best practice care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver a specialised model of care
  • Take a key role in disseminating evidence based therapies
  • Further develop specialised knowledge of autism
  • Have the opportunity to partake in clinical research
  • Engage in journal clubs, attend research presentations and engage in networking
  • Manage a therapy caseload in early developmental delay and autism
  • Provide mentoring and support to junior clinicians within the multidisciplinary team

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role you will be a highly experienced Speech Pathologist with a passion and expertise for supporting a paediatric caseload. Key requirements include:

  • Qualification in speech pathology and be a current member of SPA
  • Eligible for a Medicare provider number
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Have a proven understanding of evidenced based interventions in autism
  • Demonstrate clinical expertise in autism or development delay
  • Have a strong passion for clinical professional development
  • Sound leadership experience in a clinical practice setting
