Due to expansion, they now have an opportunity for a Senior Payroll Officer to join their team on a full time permanent basis.

Your new role
Processing weekly and fortnightly payroll including:
  • Collation of branch time sheets to calculate and record all hours worked and leave taken for every employee
  • Entering all pay information into the Fasttrack Payroll system – aiming for a high level of accuracy, this process will include:
  • calculation of Workcover and superannuation payments to ensure all amounts charged are correct
  • ensuring correct deductions are made for Social Club and any voluntary Superannuation contributions
  • ensuring dates used are relevant to the work period being paid
  • Calculation and processing of required Termination Payments, processing of Eligible Termination Payment Summary Tax Form to relevant terminated employees
  • Ensuring that all required leave forms are provided, authorised and filed ensuring that enough leave has accrued to be accessed as required
  • Creating new employee files and entering new employee data in Fasttack/Micropay
  • Provide copies of relevant forms and reports for files
  • Processing of pays via the On Line Banking system ensuring all pays are forwarded to Finance Manager for authorisation
  • Printing and distribution of confidential pay advice slips to all employees including any copies of Approved Annual Leave forms
  • Printing of Payroll reports to be filed as required for easy reference
  • Forwarding of all new employee information to relevant authorities i.e. Superannuation Application Forms, Australian Taxation Office etc.
  • Manual Journal entry for the pay period complete.
  • Ensure back-up copies are made of all data files after each pay run and at the end of each month
  • Fortnightly updates of leave reports

What you'll need to succeed
  • Experience with E2E, high volume payroll
  • Hands on Micropay experience
  • Ability to think fast
  • Agility and resilience
