Ideally located in the Inner West, this reputable council is based within a prosperous area centrally located and easily accessible by public transport. This Senior Planner opportunity will allow the successful candidate to join a strong local government planning team working in their open-plan and modern offices. You will be encouraged and supported by their switched-on multi-disciplinary team on an initial 12-month contract basis.

Your new role
With no signs of development slowing in the area, and a large increase in development applications, the team are looking to bring on an experienced Senior DA Planner to assist with a range of interesting applications including but not limited to town centre and medium to high rise developments. You will assist the team to help process applications accurately and within designated time frames.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous experience of Development Assessment in a NSW Local Government Authority or State Government, as well as a tertiary qualification in Planning or related field. A minimum of 2 years NSW Planning experience is required. You will be involved in discussions with the public therefore you must be able to negotiate solutions to complex and sensitive matters.
