Your new company
This is a huge global insurer founded in the 19th century who offer hundreds of products and operate in over 180 countries around the world. Through their superior underwriting, fantastic service provision and care taken to look after their clients and customers - they have grown exponentially and have fantastic brand recognition in the market. In their Sydney Head Office, you will be joining a small, close-knit office who focus predominantly on travel insurance. Looking to create a brand-new team for this area, it is a fantastic opportunity to get back into or start a career in insurance.

Your new role
Your new role will be to start in a brand-new team of five in a phone-based service role. Here you will be the first point of contact for all enquiries from customers and agents, clients and other key stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with travel insurance enquiries and delivering fantastic customer service
  • Up-selling and cross-selling products/services by means of creating a great customer service experience
  • Handling high-volumes of calls in a fast-paced environment
  • Sharing knowledge and expertise on products and services
  • Meeting compliance and exceeding targets and KPI's

What you'll need to succeed

  • Ideally you would come from an insurance, financial services, travel or contact centre background
  • You will have demonstrated experience working in a structured and fast-paced contact -centre or phone-based environment
  • You will have great phone-manner and written and verbal communication, with the ability to deal with complex enquiries and the desire to go above and beyond for the customer
  • PR or Citizenship working rights
  • Ability to commit to a rotating roster, with opening hours between 0800-2100 and weekends.
