Client is local government client based in south Brisbane. As result of peak in the workload, they are looking to engage the services of an experienced Project Manager / Programme manager to help lead and manage a number of civil projects

Your new role
The team acts as an asset owner within the organisation. They engage either the inhouse contractor or external main contractors to deliver civil Capital works projects - majority roads and associated infrastructure. They are looking to engage an experienced Civil engineer / Project manager to help manage the projects with a keen eye on finance, risk and schedule.

What you'll need to succeed
Candidates would need to tertiary qualified as Engineers or have significant experience working as a Technical Officer in a similar role for local government or TMR / equivalent. Candidates would need extensive knowledge of civil engineering / contract management and budget management ideally for asset owner. This technical expertise would be allied to strong stakeholder engagement skills, allowing the incumbent to be properly consultative to both in house and external stakeholders

What you'll get in return
Client offering an interesting and challenging workload with an employer that values strong work life balance. Contract is initially six months although potentially option to extend. Client offering good contractor rates, suggest $70-80ph plus super with little bit of flexibility for candidates with very significant experience in similar role.
