Your new role
Permanent position on Geraldton working Monday to Friday. In this role, you will be reporting directly to the GM. This role is vital to ensuring safety is managed on site while having a strong focus on production, quality, people, integrity and customer service. The Production Manager is responsible for developing and executing production plans, ensuring quality standards are met, managing work in progress ensuring maintenance plans are executed

Your key responsibility entail:

  • Ensure that all dry plant employees, contractors, and visitors comply with site rules and policies directly and/or via superintendents, supervisors and leading hands.
  • Comply with company OH&S standard obligations and all relevant company policies and procedures.
  • Identify and, where justified and approved, implement improvements to safety, quality, production, or work conditions.
  • Manage Geraldton mineral processing and packaging operations, including quality control.
  • Carry out production scheduling to ensure that all customer requirements are fulfilled as efficiently as possible.
  • Ensure that end-of-month production reports are completed accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Ensure timely purchase of packaging materials, parts, consumables, and approved capital acquisitions.
  • Manage bulk storage
  • Shipping coordination.
  • Liaise with the wet plant to ensure feed is optimised to maximise dry plant production.
  • Oversee trucking and dispatch activities.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are managed to ensure maximum availability of plant and packaging equipment

What you'll need to succeed
  • Relevant engineering qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience leading a team in a modern production environment where safety is at the forefront.
  • Willingness to take on Registered Manager role as per the Mines Safety & Inspection Act 1994
  • Excellent leadership, team building communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a production facility, delivering production and projects on time and on budget.
  • High level computer literacy
  • Experience operating in a mining-based environment
  • Understanding and experience with basic financial reporting (Desirable)
