This remote WA local Government is searching for a Procurement Advisor to join their procurement team for support in operational and capital works. Starting immediately for an initial temporary assignment of 3 months, this role is a fantastic opportunity if you are in between jobs and ready to try something new.
Your new role
Reporting to the Senior Procurement and Contracting Advisor, in this role you will be responsible for supporting the Infrastructure Services directorate in delivering best practice procurement. Key responsibilities include:
- Review of tender and quote documents
- Process submissions in accordance with procurement policy
- Tender openings and evaluation facilitation
- Draft standard contracts
- Maintain supplier relationships
- Provide input in the strategic direction of procurement and contract management
- Maintenance of registers and auditing reports What you’ll need to succeed
- Procurement certification or experience with procurement practices
- Experience drafting tender specifications
- Ability to interpret legislation and contractual provisions
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
