Your new company
Your new company specialises in delivering technically difficult, hard-to-scope, high risk and short-lead-time projects for both state and local governments, and provide valued services in niche markets.They provide a range of transport infrastructure solutions and services, including:
  • civil construction and maintenance
  • traffic—electrical— services (including intelligent transport systems and intersection design)
  • linemarking services
  • emergency response to disruptive events and infrastructure failures.

Your new role
This role is currently for 36.25 hrs a week with flexibility required.
  • Provide specialist technical advice on environmental legislation, environmental management and compliance issues
  • Assist in the development and review of environmental management plans to meet contract requirements
  • Support environmental representatives through coaching and assisting in environmental inspections
  • Undertake audits of projects and depots to ensure EMP, EMS and Contract requirements are met
  • Assist in the monitoring, review, and improvement of the Environmental Management System
  • Identify the need for and deliver environmental training when and where required

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will possess the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree from a tertiary institution in environmental science, environmental engineering, or equivalent qualification is mandatory
  • Current holder of Class C driver's licence
  • Environmental management experience associated with the delivery of infrastructure projects and maintenance of linear infrastructure is highly desirable
  • It would be also be desirable for the applicant to hold CPESC (Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control)
