Your new company
Our client, a leading national company specialised in the mining industry, is recruiting a Plant Engineer to work on an ambitious maintenance and closure project in a remote mining site in the Northern Territory.
Your new role
You will be responsible to develop the scopes of work relating to the plant modifications and maintenance enhancements and implement the closure project. This is a full-time role with 50 hours of work per week, on an alternate BIBO roster from Darwin (5 days in / 2 days off and 4 days in / 3 days off). The position is a temporary on-going role with an immediate start, for at least 6 months with a possible extension.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Development of scopes for removal and redundant plant items.
- Providing support for the development work packages and the quote/tender process, award, and execution.
- Execution of changes using selected contractors.
- Application of engineering standards and appropriate local process such as management of change, equipment standards and drawing software.
What you'll need to succeed
- A degree in a relevant discipline is required: Electrical, Mechanical or Process Engineering.
- Significant experience with a mining or industrial processing facility is highly desirable.
