Your new company
This leading international company that operates in a niche market and are always expanding their footprint are now seeking an exceptional Payroll Team Leader to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. This newly created role will be based in their Brisbane CBD offices which are easily accessible by public transport options. Working from home options 1 to 2 days per week will also be available.
Your new role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Leading a small payroll team ensure pay runs are processed accurately
- Participate in team meetings and development of the payroll team
- Providing support and guidance in relation to payroll legislation
- Prepare and produce payroll reports
- Identify and report process improvements and efficiencies
- Assisting with hands on payroll processing as and when required to ensure payroll is processing on time
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will meet the following requirements:
- Previous experience as a Payroll Supervisor or Team Leader
- Experience with award interpretation and legislation
- Ability to lead by example and encourage a collaborative team environment
- Exceptional organisational skills and time management skills
- Display strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with key internal stakeholders and employees
