Your new role
As an experienced Payroll Officer you will be required to undertake duties including:
- Processing payroll for more than 160 employees
- Process new employees and terminate resigned staff from the system
- Deal external company for processing of the police checks for new and existing employees
- Assist with payments for invoices and purchase orders
- Maintain record of digital and hard files for employees
- Enter and maintain the record of Workcover, salary packaging and superannuation for all employees
- Create and process appointment letters, resignation letters, variation in employment.
- Generate and maintain different payroll reports
- Enter and maintain annual leave and sick leave
- Liaisons with managers to assist for different reports
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance
- Demonstrated experience in a payroll function
- Knowledge of payroll and HR function concepts (leave accruals, overtime, Award and Agreement interpretation etc.)
- Knowledge and experience with a variety of payroll systems
- A natural problem solver with a passion for process improvement and automation
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management
- High level of administrative and organisational skills
- Well-developed report writing skills
