Payroll Officer Role

Advancing Payroll Officer position within an established organisation.

Your new company

You will be working within a finance team taking on full responsibilities of all payroll duties for one of Australia’s leading, innovative companies west of the CBD region. Very CHIC locations with plenty of entertainment activities, trending cafes and restaurants as well as major line major lines of public transport right at your doorstep. The office culture pride themselves on being proactive, professional, collaborative and friendly. Payroll Manager you will be reporting is also quite established in the role and company and can advance you to what you want to achieve in payroll.

Your new role

In this role you will be managing the end to end payroll for their international entities:

  • Knowledge of end to end payroll processes for either weekly and fortnightly payruns
  • Able to interpret awards and agreements
  • Payroll discrepancies
  • Preparing payroll and adhoc reports
  • Assisting with end of month/year reporting and reconciliations and other aspects of end to end payroll

What you'll need to succeed

  • Understanding of New Zealand payroll processes and/or exposure with Kiwisaver
  • Have a sound understanding of Awards
  • Experience in large volume pay-runs
  • Initiative, resilience and a can-do attitude to meet deadlines, learn processes and work within a team environment
  • All-round communications skills written and spoken
  • Approachable, adaptable and be a team player
