Defence Professional Services Capability provider seeking an Operations Manager

Your new company
This professional services capability provider is seeking an Operations Manager to join their team full-time! Their clients include Defence, federal, state and local governments and their work allows Australia’s industry capability and expertise to develop whilst ensuring contracted capability is underwritten by their extensive network.

Your new role
This is a newly created role which will provide oversight, direction and support to the Operations Team Managers, ensuring the timely review, negotiation and preparation of various company contracts and associated reports and documents in company systems; along with effective subcontractor placement and effectiveness, ensuring contract delivery is achieved, to a high standard of production and compliance.

Specific duties include:
  • Provide oversight and direction to Operations Team Managers and staff, ensuring their activities, performance and output align with company goals.
  • Be accountable for the production and timely execution of client contracts and supporting documents.
  • Negotiate contract terms with internal and external stakeholders and clients.
  • Ensure contract deliverables are met
  • Analyse potential risks involved with specific contract terms
  • Stay up-to date with legislative changes and coordinate with executive management as needed
  • Maintain company systems and physical and digital records
  • Support a collaborative environment
  • Create internal reports as required
  • Undertake other duties as directed

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong attention to detail along with the ability to discover potential risks for our company, whilst leading a small team.
You will also have demonstrated experience in a similar role where you have needed to find efficiency and refinement within existing parameters.
You will be highly focused, be able to work in fast-paced environment and have high levels of stakeholder engagement. Knowledge of Defence or HR would be highly regarded.
