Office Admin / Contract Administrator

Our Defence client is seeking an Office Admin to fill a temp position for 13-14 weeks on full time basis.

Your new role
The Contract Administrator will have the following responsibilities, and perform the following contract administration tasks, including (but not limited to):
  • Assist in the compiling of Contract Change Proposals, in accordance with Contract requirements and obligations under SDMM which from time to time will require interface between the Commonwealth and facilities representatives.
  • Receive, acknowledge and prepare formal responses to customers in conjunction with and under the supervision of the SDMM Contract Manager, with appropriate legal review when necessary or requested.
  • Maintenance of contractual records and documentation of key correspondence.
  • Maintaining Contract Deliverables and customer data in conjunction with and under the supervision of the SDMM Contract Manager.
  • Preparation of Contract Progress Meeting agendas, coordinating such Contract Progress Meetings with customers.
  • Assist in ensuring a harmonious work environment in all departments that you are working with by upholding Thales's values.
  • Comply with all relevant company Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies and framework and work practices with the intent of preventing or minimising accidental exposures to self, colleagues, visitors and/or the environment and to ensure a safe work practises at all times.
  • Comply with the security policies, framework, procedures, manuals and plans applicable to the business and work site. Particular attention shall be given to protecting sensitive information and ensuring access is afforded to authorised personnel with a legitimate need to know only.
  • Comply with all relevant Company policies and procedures.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in the role you will need to have demonstrated the following:
  • Must be an Australian Citizen
  • Experience in contract administration, detailed record management and reporting.
  • Competent user of Microsoft products, especially Word, Power Point and Excel. A competent typist.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with proven attention to detail.
  • Ability to work within an agreed framework and in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining professional networks within a large organisation.
  • Hold a valid Driver’s licence
