Our client is a small remote Council in Far North Queensland. This well-regarded Council prides themselves on their innovative and dedicated approach to continuously improving and giving back to the community. They are currently seeking an experienced multi-skilled operator to join their successful and motivated civil works team.

Your new role
Your new role as a multi skilled operator will be ongoing until December and available for an immediate start. In this role you will be rostered 10 hours per day, 6 days per week on a 17/4 roster (paid 8 hrs travel first and last day of 17). Accommodation will be supplied. In this role you will be responsible for the below tasks;

• Operate earthmoving plant
• General civil construction duties
• Diesel Distribution
• Daily checks and prestart checks of dry hire plant
• Follow company OH&S policies and procedures

What you'll need to succeed
You will have demonstrated experience working within the civil construction industry. Your skills operating various plant machinery will lead to your success in this role. You are self-sufficient, reactive, adaptable and have a strong work ethic. You work well under pressure and excel in team environments.

You will also hold the below qualifications:

• General Construction Induction Card
• Nationally recognised operator licences
• Current Drivers Licence and reliable transport to site
• Remote Experience (Desirable)
• Demonstrated experience in machinery operation
