Your new company
Our client specialise in designing, building and sustaining infrastructure and assets across Australia and New Zealand. They are currently going through a strong period of growth and require a Mechanical Foreman to oversee a small close-knit team in their Perth facility.

Your new role
As Mechanical Foreman, you will be overseeing a team of 7 workshop trade staff. You will lead and support the trade staff and any contractors to ensure there is a safe and efficient repair to key plant and equipment according to industry standards. You will also have the following responsibilities:

• Provide mechanical expertise to the team
• Support the workshop supervisor to schedule and plan asset maintenance
• Ensure it is a safe working environment
• Oversee any procurement of urgent parts
• Assist in the workshop if required

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be trade qualified and have solid experience leading a small close-knit team in a workshop environment. You will ideally have experience in a heavy vehicle or plant background. This is a fantastic opportunity for a leading hand to step in to a more senior role and take on additional responsibility. Some key requirements required:

Trade Certificate with at least 5 years post trade experience in civil, road transport, mining or similar industry
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships
Actively lead by example with zero harm standards
HR Drivers licence is highly desirable
