Maintenance Engineer - Manufacturing

Bespoke medical device manufacturer located north west of Melbourne's CBD looking for hands on site engineer

Your new role
As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ongoing and preventative maintenance, as well as driving capital expenditure projects and leading ongoing initiatives around automation and continuous improvement. Your role will include:
  • Accountability for ensuring safe practices surrounding maintenance and engineering works
  • Driving and implementing site-wide lean and continuous improvement initiatives, particularly with regards to process automation
  • Providing engineering support and services including failure investigation, preventative maintenance, problem analysis and corrective action
  • Developing and managing the site CAPEX program

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this role, you will possess the following:
  • Technical qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
  • Outstanding mechanical aptitude
  • Significant experience with people and project management
  • Metals knowledge desirable but not essential
  • A strong hands-on capability
  • Excellent communication skills, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders
