This organisation is a leading Australian resource management company which has been experiencing high growth. As a consequence, a newly created Legal Counsel position has become available for an experienced Environment & Planning lawyer to join its high performing in-house legal team.
Your new role
Reporting into the team's Senior Legal Counsel, you will provide advice and support to the business on a wide variety of environmental, planning and development and regulatory compliance matters.

What you'll need to succeed
- advising on the management of environmental planning licences and approvals including applications, renewals, audits and returns;
- advising on environmental and planning issues in various services, supply and commercial contractual documentation;
- supporting the Development and Property and Infrastructure teams regarding various building and development projects;
- liaising with regulators whilst managing the company's interests.
You will have a minimum of 3 years' PAE in environment and planning law and hold a current Australian Practising Certificate. You will have an analytical mind, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret complex regulatory policy and establish solutions for its implementation. You will also have strong drafting and communication skills, excellent technical ability and be a collegiate team player.
