Your new company
Hays has partnered with one of Australia's largest food and support service companies, and they are currently seeking experienced kitchen hands for a casual position. You will be representing Hays on a Government site, working 12-hour days on a rotational roster. You will be an integral part of the site kitchen, ensuring their staff are well looked after.
Your new role
As a kitchen hand, you will be responsible for assisting chefs and other staff with dishwashing, preparation of food and general cleaning duties as directed by the Operations Manager and Head Chef on duty.
Working within a tight-knit team you will be required to work a rotating roster, your reliability and willingness to work 12hour days is essential for this role.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful it is essential that you have previous experience as a kitchen hand in a fast-paced environment. Your attention to detail, ability to work autonomously and professionalism will be key when providing quality service and assistance. All successful applicants will undergo a drug and alcohol test, a police check and will need to be currently residing in Cairns. Your commitment to follow Workplace Health and Safety regulations is crucial.
