A leading and crucial government organisation in Townsville’s CBD are seeking an IT Support Engineer to work within the Service Desk Team to support the IT systems, network and infrastructure of several key departments across the organization!
Your new role
Your new role will see you work within a large and dedicated multi-disciplinary team comprised of Infrastructure, System and Helpdesk Engineers and Analysts to work on and support the IT systems, hardware, network and infrastructure of several key departments located in various offices throughout the Townsville region.
Although you will be supporting these departments you will remain at this organizations HQ in Townsville’s CBD to work on the various technologies with some site visits required as and when. Aside from the technical aspects of this role, you will also be developing user documentation and technical procedures to support the needs of this agency whilst also furthering the positive impact they have across the greater Townsville region.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need experience across a variety of technologies such as the following (for example):
What you'll get in return
- The Microsoft tech stack – such as Windows Server, Windows 10, Active Directory, PowerShell, Microsoft 365 etc
- Virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V
- Hardware (Desktops, Laptops, Mobile Devices etc) deployment/rollouts
- Networking/Infrastructure platforms (Switches, Routers, etc)
- Clear communication skills (written and oral)
- Full Australian working rights
You will be offered a three month rolling contract to start ASAP with a leading and crucial government organization in Townsville paying $36.16 + super per hour.
Note: Remote work is not available for this position
