Your new company
Our client is an independently owned and operated automotive wholesaler, with multiple globally recognised brands in their portfolio. They supply across all categories – Passenger Car, SUV & 4WD, Light Truck, Heavy Truck & Bus, Industrial, Agricultural, Forestry, Motorcycle, ATV and Mining. They employ over 200 staff nationally across 9 locations. Due to ongoing demand for their products, they are recruiting an Internal Sales Representative at their head office in Thomastown.

Your new role
You will provide internal sales support directly to the Sales team in order to increase their sales efficiency and drive sales growth. This is broad, entry level role that will see you work across all areas of the business in a support capacity. Key responsibilities include:

  • Process all phone orders in a professional and accurate manner.
  • Make outbound proactive calls as directed including special offer reminders and quote follow-up.
  • Ensure that daily proactive call targets are met.
  • Abide by customer price files and provide quotations for customers within limit of authority provided.
  • Ensure daily/weekly/monthly specials are promoted during calls.
  • Maintain customer service in accordance with Company policy.
  • Take and report any customer complaints.
  • Maximise GP on all phone orders taken.
  • Identify and maximise sales opportunities make add-on sales offers.
  • Follow and action tasks set by the Team Leader.
  • Follow up quotes in a timely manner.
  • Provide support and feedback to BDMs.

What you'll need to succeed
  • At least 1 year of experience working in an inside sales/telemarketing/telesales or customer service role
  • Excellent telephone and written skills to communicate by phone and email
  • Experience in engaging in business to business selling support
  • Fast learner, must be able to deal with technical product information
  • Experience of using business management systems (CRM)
  • Good use of MS office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
