Your new company

You will be working for a well established Australian manufacturing organisation with over 60 years in their industry. They also import and distribute products to tailor their solutions to their clients needs. The organisation is a specialist manufacturer in a niche market competing with overseas suppliers to deliver quality Australian products to the Australian market.

Your new role

You will be the new Financial Controller, replacing an incumbent who is retiring at the end of August. You will be providing accurate financial and management reports to the senior management team to assist in the decision making process. You will be managing two direct reports in transactional accounting roles.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• P&L reporting
• Maintaining the balance sheet and fixed asset register
• Preparation of Cashflow statements
• Preparation of job costing & production costing
• Managing the budget & forecast process
• Oversight of working capital requirements
• Prepare and submit external tax requirements
• Liaise with US and NZ offices to capture and report on financial performance and inventory
• Perform financial and commercial analysis to identify efficiencies and effectiveness of the business

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to be a CA or CPA qualified accounting professional with experience in staff management. You will ideally have worked in either manufacturing, import and export or sales and distribution based organisations. Proficiency in accounting systems is a requirement for this role and any experience on menu based systems such as TIMS would be highly advantageous.

What you'll get in return

You will be paid an annual salary of between $130,000 and $160,000 plus super per year. The organisation provides on site parking for their staff with a private office space for the Financial Controller. The role is located minutes from the M4 and M7 motorways offering easy access by car, and also via public transport with bus routes and stops near by.
