Your new role
Reporting into the CFO and working a finance team of 8 your key tasks are –
- Maintenance of accounting ledgers and bank reconciliations in core finance system
- Management of fixed asset registers and monthly depreciation journals
- Weekly flash reporting to business unit managers
- Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and preparation of monthly financial reports including commentary on the business performance
- Management of intercompany transactions and interest charges
- Preparation and lodgement of compliance returns including BAS, FBT, TPAR
- Identification of variances and liaising with business unit managers to resolve issues
- Assistance to business unit managers to prepare annual budgets
- Assistance with year-end procedures including liaison with external accountants and auditors
- Assistance with development and maintenance of strong internal control environment throughout the Group and seek continual improvement of internal controls, policies, processes, and procedures
- Continual develop and expansion of capabilities and efficiencies of systems and technology platforms
- Ongoing critical analysis of financial and non-financial information
- Ad hoc projects and analysis as requested from time to time
What you'll need to succeed
- CPA/CA qualified
- Happy to consider commerce and industry background or accounting firm (audit or business services)
- 5 to 10 years experience
- Self-motivated with an intrinsic desire to strive for excellence
- Show initiative, work collaboratively, and demonstrate continual self-development in a highly dynamic environment
- Strong systems skills in Excel and a ERP (they use Netsuite)
