Your new company
This company is a recognised market leader in their field and is the Australian subsidiary of a listed US business. They operate a number of business units across Australia with the corporate head office being based in Sydney on the North Shore.

Your new role
You will be reporting to the head of finance for Australia and will be responsible for both technical and commercial accounting, commentary and controls. Partnering with finance teams across the business you will be responsible for:

• Management reporting, analysis and commentary
• Consolidated budgeting and forecasting
• End to end financial reporting
• Tax returns and tax planning
• Management of internal controls and internal/external audit process

What you'll need to succeed
CA or CPA qualified with at least 5 years post-qualification experience, you will be a technical expert in both financial reporting and tax, with solid understanding of both local and international accounting standards, as well as internal controls. You will ideally have training in an audit environment with an inquisitive mind and a risk focussed approach to your work - you love to do things the right way! As well as being a strong technical accountant you will need to demonstrate significant commercial nous, excellent analytical skills and show that you are self-motivated and able to take ownership of your work.
