Your new role
This exciting role is responsible for partnering the business sections, leadership and management to provide ‘real time’ support and analysis of section and project outcomes. As a trusted adviser, this position will add value and enable strategic improvements through informed decision making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and providing expert advice to the sections in the development of budgets ensuring they reflect the organisational goals and strategic direction of the business
- Providing ongoing leadership, training and support in financial management of programs and budget including proposing remedial actions as required to ensure effective delivery of services within financial constraints.
- Analysing financial data and presenting financial results to the relevant Management Teams.
- Interpreting financial impacts relating to legislative/economic changes or new initiatives and providing appropriate solutions.
- Providing financial modelling for new initiatives or major projects.
- Collaborating with relevant stakeholders ensuring efficient and effective financial operations with an emphasis on quality control and risk mitigation.
- Managing the audit acquittal process for relevant government program funding.
- Reviewing and improving practices, processes and procedures in relation to the efficient and effective delivery of financial services.
What you'll need to succeed
With a collaborate mind set, outstanding communication skills, proven people and leadership skills to build effective business partnerships, the successful candidate will demonstrate extensive Business Management experience within a complex commercial environment, managing financial projects. You will hold relevant tertiary and CA / CPA qualifications and display extensive strategic planning expertise. This role will suit a business leader who prides themselves on thinking laterally and creatively and shows innovation in finding workable solutions to complex problems.
