Your new role
Domestic Payment Operations’ team members support the team in the delivery of customer payment activities with the overall objective of supporting project related tasks and payment processing. You will support the Domestic Payment Operations by attending to a range of activities to ensure that Managers/Team Leaders are facilitated in the provision of an efficient and high-quality service to internal and external customers. The teams that you may be part of include Specialised Products, Transactional Operations and Cards and Cash Value Processing.

Specialised Products: Ubank payment support including Account Closures, payment processing, reconciliation, and term deposit maintenance. Other functions in the team include supporting payment maintenance for NAPS & TNA products.

Transaction Operations. Consists of Balancing & settlement of ATM/POS network, payments support of Australia Post & Statutory trust products and mortgage account support.

Cards and Cash Value Processing: The processing of payments & various settlement activities in relation to our Cash & Card related channels. This includes via fast payment channels, BPAY, and Direct Entry Channels.
Other tasks include checking cash errors, NAB wide Branch balancing, card settlement activities and NAB Term deposit maintenance.

Location is at 700 Bourke Street Docklands. Hybrid working arrangement setup. Duration of assignment is 3 or 6 months with the potential to go permanency or contract extensions thereafter. Hourly rate is $32.69 plus super per hour.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Preferably Business/Commerce Degree although not essential
  • An interest in financial markets or the processes involved to support back-office functions
  • Proven custom
  • Previous payments operations, remediation or reconciliation experience will be preferred
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a high-volume environment
  • Strong time management skills
  • The ability to work in a team environment
  • Great attitude and commitment
