Our client is a small Regional Council in Far North Queensland dedicated to providing robust economic and environmental assets to support the community and well-being of their citizens. They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Fitter to join their motivated workshop team for an immediate start.
Your new role
Reporting to the workshop supervisor, this residential role will be ongoing and available for an immediate start. A day in the role will be diverse and rewarding, responsible for maintenance, service and repair of Council vehicles, plant/machinery, and equipment. Single persons quarters accommodation will be supplied.
What you'll need to succeed
You have strong experience and background as a qualified Maintenance Fitter/Diesel Mechanic and are dedicated to WH&S. You are self-sufficient, reactive, adaptable and have good computer skills. You work well under pressure and excel in team environments. To be successful for this position you must possess the following skills and qualifications:
