Your new company

Our client is among the world’s top producers of major commodities including iron ore, metallurgical coal, copper, and uranium. They extract and process minerals, oil and gas from its production operations located primarily in Australia and the Americas.

Your new role

You will join a team of data scientists and data analysts using structured approaches to optimise equipment maintenance strategies. You will work closely with project leads and subject matter experts to discover opportunities and design solutions using data-driven techniques.

What you'll need to succeed

This exciting new position needs a self-starter who is passionate about data. You’ll be a problem solver with very good stakeholder engagement and communication skills. You will have:

• A tertiary degree in a quantitative field
• Experience in Python and SQL
• Visualisation skills preferably in PowerBI with an ability to tell a story with data
• Experience of developing and deploying predictive models and statistical modelling experience is highly regarded
• SAP knowledge and experience in asset management, equipment maintenance or heavy industry is preferred

What you'll get in return
