We are currently partnering with a global information technology services company who are looking to source an experienced (5 years+) Data Analyst to work on a permanent basis on projects in Sydney. The successful candidate will be working on a variety of Australia’s most prestigious accounts and will have a chance to master the best and latest technologies.

Your new role:
The data analyst must have experience and knowledge in turning raw data into information and insight that can be used to produce reports in order to make business decisions. Day-to-day duties could include data modelling, analysing data and data storage.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Interpret data and analyse results using statistical techniques in order to provide ongoing reports
• Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Working experience with data warehouses and data lake environments
• Strong Understanding of overall data domain and related concepts of Data Lineage, Metadata Management and Data Warehouse storage services such as Teradata, Oracle, etc
• Data storage services experience with tools such as HBase, Hive, HDFS etc
• Expertise in data modelling principles/methods
• Strong skills in Advanced SQL queries and Unix Shell Scripting
• Expertise in data modelling principles/methods
• Minimum 5 years’ working experience in Data Analytics, Data warehousing and Data Lake related IT development projects
