Community Leasing Officer

An immediate 3 month contract within local government for a Leasing Officer overseeing community contracts

Your new company
Due to internal staff movements, a vacancy now exists for an experienced Community Leasing Officer to join this local council for a 3 month contract commencing ASAP.

Your new role
This property department oversee over 80 community leases and you will be tasked with overseeing a busy portfolio of up to 10 ongoing groups of community lease negotiations and agreements for various clubs including bowls, kindergartens and recreation club tenants. You will oversee heads of agreement, lease and license negotiations, community consultation and negotiations, as well as managing ad-hoc general tenant enquiries/queries/issues including attending onsite meetings.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have;
  • strong public sector (local council preferred) experience managing various leasing agreements and strong ability to accurately interpret and apply relevant legislation
  • strong communication skills and ability to engage with multiple community stakeholders/user groups, providing great customer service to foster positive partnerships both internally and externally
  • relevant tertiary qualifications in property management
  • solid time management and coordination skills and be a good multi-tasker.
  • as site visits are required, you will need to hold a current and valid Victorian driver's license
  • a police check and reference checks are also mandatory
