Commercial & Contracts Specialist - Technology Company - Permanent Role
This hugely successful technology and communications company are looking for a Commercial Specialist to join them on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will provide commercial and contractual guidance to this small highly skilled team as they enter their next phase of growth.

Based in Bentley your duties will include:
  • Supporting the company’s commercial framework, product commercialisation process and customer experience strategies.
  • Supporting the sales team in the evaluation of new commercial opportunities, including quotations and tender document development and clarifying commercial terms and conditions.
  • Undertaking commercial agreement reviews and propose appropriate departures for compliance with company risk profile and commercial limits.
  • Assisting in evaluation and management of commercial negotiations to ensure best outcomes for the organisation.
  • Ensuring that all contractual documents, including product terms and conditions, are current and meet the legal, commercial, and corporate standards and agreed benchmarks.
  • Facilitating the review and development of product pricing models and competitor analysis.
  • Working with the Product and Technology team to implement the group IP strategy, including actioning trademark applications and assisting with patent applications as required.
  • Managing and maintaining relationships with external legal and IP providers.
  • Assisting with commercial performance reporting and managing assigned budget.

About you:
  • Tertiary degree in commercial, business, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience specialising in commercial operations, desirably having worked in a technology or communications start-up or business.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office especially Excel and Teams.
  • Excellent commercial, negotiation, and risk management skills.
  • Strong understanding of general contractual terms, implications, and the ability to identify and minimise associated risk.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications with an eye for detail.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong time and project management skills with the ability to work under pressure on competing tasks.
