This is an exciting opportunity within the Ocean Beaches team in the City Assets Department. Senior Coastal Engineer role is a high-level role and will see you manage and maintain ocean beach strategy program.
Your new role
As a Senior Coastal Engineer you will be responsible for coastal engineering services associated with the local government's capital and operational investment programs for ocean beaches and associated services. You will also be providing senior specialist coastal design knowledge and technical assistance and advice. You will be liaising closely with town planners in Environmental Performance Evaluation (EPE) in order to deliver program and projects according to the Ocean Beaches Strategy.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have to successfully completed a tertiary qualification in environmental planning, town planning or coastal engineering. Additionally, you have had demonstrated experience in project management, report writing and stakeholder engagement.
