Your new role
  • Lead and manage the business operations team including people management, financials, governance, projects, information technology relating to the business unit. Communication functions embedding and promoting a high performance and collaborative culture to deliver timely, accurate and responsible client outcomes.
  • Drive the development, implementation, and review process within business operations to ensure procedures align to corporate goals, comply with legislation and policies, strengthen corporate capability, and facilitate corporate planning and performance monitoring.
  • Produce high quality documentation including briefing notes, process documentation, stakeholder briefing packs, presentations to assist with the implementation of projects and support for other operational activities.
  • Monitor and report on the operational budget spend ensuring compliance with relevant policies, delegations, and requirements to support the executive decision making and ensure effectiveness at the local.
  • Identify, develop, implement, and evaluate innovative strategies to enable continuous improvement within business operations and support the team’s ability to achieve and exceed service outcomes and performance indicators.
  • Build and maintain a high level of awareness of current and developing operational and organizational issues and their implication for the company and provide prompt expert advice to the Managing Director on issues/risks, sensitive or strategically important issues to facilitate decision making and risk mitigation across the organization.
  • Engage with various stakeholders and foster key working relationships to provide support to the implementation of large-scale projects and contribute to business outcomes.


What you'll need to succeed
  • Extensive experience in a business development role, key account management or client relationship management.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with cultural and linguistically diverse communities and individuals
  • High level business management skills including a demonstrated ability to both manage financial, human, and physical resources and monitor effectiveness and efficiency through the autonomous application of contemporary management techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience in effective people leadership and development and development and change management
  • Current knowledge of the relevant legislation, regulations, policies, and practices governing the operation of separate agencies including risk management, audit, financial oversight, records management, corporate governance, and compliance reporting requirements.
  • Able to interpret P&L and commercial viability for new business partnerships.
