Your new company

A government department with a strong focus on social and economic wellbeing looking for a new business analyst to advance and modernise existing procedures and processes. You will work within an agile delivery team to produce applications and meet deliverables focusing on improving maturity and efficiency of procedures, contributing to overall department goals. This is a rewarding, challenging opportunity for an experienced BA to contribute to exciting new procedures and applications.

Your new role
You will focus on user stories, user experience and other deliverables, as well as assist in uplifting and maturing the processes and procedures in the agile space. You will take on a leadership and mentoring role in a highly collaborative environment, coordinating workshops, stand-ups, scrums, demonstrations, reports, providing project management assistance and insight, as well as assisting in the transfer of knowledge and training. You will gain the negotiation and communicative skills to manage relationships in a challenging IT environment, liaising with multiple stakeholders and business teams.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Demonstrated industry-based knowledge and experience in the delivery of complex large-scale applications and web services.
  • Demonstrated experience with liaising with multiple stakeholders and working in a team-based, cooperative environment, involving training and knowledge transfer responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate team members, investigate technical issues and update data.
  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment and experience using Agile development toolset.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use communication and negotiation skills to manage relationships in challenging IT environment.
