Branch Manager

Branch Manager position located in the western suburbs of Melbourne.
Your New Company

This Australian organisation who supplies portable gas to hospitals, aged care facilities, restaurants/cafes and service stations and much more around Victoria, are seeking two experienced, hands on Branch Managers located at Somerton and Dandenong to join their team due to experiencing substantial growth over the last 18 months.

Your new role

As a hands on Branch Manager for this collaborative team, you will be responsible for;

  • Complete documented monthly safety toolbox meetings.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance and audit tasks are completed in the required timeframe.
  • Ensure vehicle pre-starts are completed prior to any vehicle leaving the branch carrying product.
  • Ensure basic Fatigue Management (BFM) is complied with where applicable.
  • Ensure AS1596 and ADG code compliance is adhered to within the branch and at customer premises.
  • Ensure all aspects of the Branch compliance are achieved in required timeframes.
  • Ensure all Branch staff have received adequate training and understand the content.
  • Ensure fleet management and maintenance occurs in line with policies and practices.
  • Management of the reporting of all incidents/near misses.
  • Complete monthly vehicle inspections.
  • Ensure customer site compliance is in line with the organization’s procedures.
  • Have a clear understanding of the Safety Management System in relation to transport and storage.
  • Ensure IBT’s are ordered in advance allowing for appropriate lead time as it applies to your branch.
  • Maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of the logistics operation.
  • Ensure there is an after-hours call out process for safety emergencies and deliveries.
  • Branch debtor management.
