Long term contract. Australian Citizen required with a minimum ability to obtain a Baseline clearance.

Your new company
This Federal Government client is an executive agency of the Australian Government, responsible for delivering a range of welfare, health, child support payments and other services.

Your new role
  1. Deliver a modern, scalable online service delivery platform for businesses interacting with Services Australia, by leveraging and re-using existing ‘target state’ IT capability and learnings.
  2. Develop a roadmap to iteratively deliver and integrate existing bespoke business facing legacy portals used across the agency (approximately 24).
  3. Consolidate similar business functions and interactions across relying parties, by implementing the ‘Tell us once’ approach.
  4. Design and implement a seamless user experience for organizations conducting business with Services Australia, regardless of the relying party.
  5. Undertake and manage analysis, design, development, prototyping, testing, implementation, and maintenance, with a focus on security and accessibility, in a Government environment ensuring excellence and consistent delivery, on time and budget.
  6. Ability to lead, support and cohesively work in and with technical teams to identify solutions to complex ICT problems through engagement with multiple stakeholders both within and outside the Agency.
  7. Collaborate with peers, business counterparts and customers playing a key role in liaising and working with stakeholders to foster partnerships, provide strategic advice and optimize product and delivery effectiveness.
  8. Require an understanding of software development methodologies and project and programme management frameworks and policies.
  9. Position ETPP for future integration with a Whole of Government single entry point for business.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role we require:
  • Experience working within an Agile environment
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience
  • Experience working with Jira, ALM, and Selenium.
  • Demonstrated knowledge / skills of testing methodologies including the creation and execution of complex test cases on appropriate testing platforms, using own in-depth technical analysis of specifications.
  • Development and review of test plans, test cases, task cards and supporting test data.
  • Conduct testing to ensure the ICT Service functions as per requirements.
  • Identify, analyse, manage and document all defects, programming errors and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specifications
  • Monitor and manage time and effort to ensure test cases are running to project schedule.
  • Must have Automation experience (2+ years experience building and maintaining frameworks) including knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium Web driver and/or Cypress, Cucumber and Gherkin.
  • Good knowledge of Javascript, JSON, CSS and HTML.
  • Knowledge in CSV, XML and XSD Schema.
