Your new company

Our client is a landmark coastal resort with over 300 rooms, a convention centre, sporting fields, gymnasium, tropical swimming pool, a Lagoon for water activities and multiple food and beverage offerings. Our client is seeking Senior Events Manager to lead they enthusiastic team to create memorable events for the customers and guests.

Your new role

  • Manage a portfolio of major accounts that have specific potential for our clients’ hotels.
  • Research new business opportunities for hotels with a particular focus on corporate, inbound, and wholesale markets.
  • Work in conjunction with National Sales to identify and target business opportunities for their hotels.
  • Assist Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM) in preparation of budget, revenue strategies and sales & marketing plans for all company Hotels.
  • Implement sales targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for business development manager.
  • Work hand in hand with the Sales & Marketing team to ensure the maximum utilisation of resources by the internal sales environment and provide leadership.
  • To provide monthly progress & Return on Investment (ROI) reports on target accounts.
  • Secure new business in agreed markets for the hotel. Maintain business from within these segments.
  • Assist in the development of marketing material for use in the securing and implementing of all business in conjunction with the National Sales and Marketing Manager and the Marketing Services Department.
  • Assist in the development of the annual business plan and financial budget; use this as a guide to controlling expenditure during the financial year.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business management, marketing or similar preferred
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a Senior Sales Capacity
  • Experience in negotiation within hotel sales
  • Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship, and networking skills
  • Understanding of some or all hotel market segments and current trends
  • Understanding of branding and positioning of Hotels within the market
