Assistant Accountant

You will work as part of a team and autonomously to achieve set outcomes to ensure day to day operations are maintained.

Your new role
You will be responsible for handling various aspects of the business finances and accounts, working in a structured and dynamic environment. Some of your key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to)
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Processing payments
  • Reconciling both creditors & debtors
  • Preparing invoices
  • Monthly statements
  • Understanding of foreign currency
  • Reconciliation of monthly statements, in preparation of monthly BAS
  • Ledgers & sub-ledgers.

What you'll need to succeed
For you to be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Prior experience in a similar role
  • A strong analytical thinker, being able to identify problems and resolve these accordingly.
  • Excellent customer service
  • End to end processing of accounts payable & receivable
  • Attention to detail is essential
  • Manufacturing experience desirable (not essential)
  • Liaising with external stakeholders
