Your new company

Our client is a leading national Cleaning and Facilities Maintenance company. They have an extensively experienced operation in detailed cleaning and hygiene services that continually deliver thorough and excellent service. They are currently seeking an Area Manager to manage a team of cleaners across the Melbourne metro area through to the North Eastern suburbs. travel will be required so flexibility with travel is required.

Your new role

Your daily tasks will range from conducting regular site inspections and audits to being actively involved in assisting the setting up of new accounts. You will be someone who can think outside the square and be able to identify new business opportunities. This will see you liaising with the Facility Manager on site and discussed about what other services can be provided by the organisation.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful you will need to have experience at a management level from a previous contract cleaning position. You will have strong attention to detail and skilled in the ability to get the best out of people. This challenging role will require you to manage cleaning staff on a daily basis with continued emphasis on OH&S compliance and customer satisfaction.

You will be able to prioritise, meet deadlines and assist your team in doing the same. You will have a strong customer focus and ability to solve problems seamlessly. Your previous experience within the cleaning and maintenance industry will be highly regarded.

This is a very demanding role that requires an individual who ideally has managed educational sites in the past and understands what is required when pleasing the client.
