Your new role
The purpose of this role is to build long-term sustainable volume, brand equity and profitability for the Coopers portfolio and its partner brand in your defined territory. Reporting to the Field Sales Manager, you will contribute to the execution of national and state plans and strategies, including annual sales and financial budgets. You will represent the company in your day-to-day role as well as through a number of channels, including dinners, sponsorship events and other trade engagements. You will be an individual who is highly focussed and motivated to drive the company's brand.
Through your daily representation of the Coopers Brewery, you will gather market information and report it internally to drive continuous improvement of Coopers sales and marketing strategy. You will also report back to the team with any business development opportunities you identify in both on-premises and off-premises markets. Along with this, you will complete sales and finance administrative duties within specific time frames and attend state meetings by sharing knowledge and experience you have obtained and developed.
You will work with your manager to set and achieve individual performance targets, including sales budgets and distribution targets within your territory to attain commission benefits.
What you'll need to succeed
We seek to appoint an experienced and professional individual, who is hands on, highly ambitious, self-motivated and thrives within the demands of a fast-moving company. We can consider applications from various business sectors however in-depth knowledge of the brewing industry, the territory and current issues affecting the liquor market in general is highly desirable.
You will have
- A full driver's license
- RSA Certificate
- Extensive, demonstrated experience within a sales role, preferably within a FMCG industry
- Proven sales record with demonstrated ability to exceed sales and distribution targets

This position is based in Cairns, Queensland (we would entertain a Townsville candidate, but do feel the best option would be Cairns) and will require travel to Townsville and Airlie Beach.
