Your new company
This is a leading Federal Government Department that works towards ensuing developing polices and legislation to ensure the target audience is adhering to standards and is constantly evening to keep up with changes within the needs of the nation. This division has a key focus on developing specific programs that have a 3 year lifespan and will effect over 50% of the Nation, in this team you will work alongside a large number of subject matter experts to deliver a high standard of work within the allocated project timeframes.

Your new role
These positions will be supporting high profile members of the public service and you will be managing a very busy portfolio with oversight of recruitment activities. The roles will be well suited to an individual who believes there is no task too big or too small. You will be required to manage the Executive’s diary which will include booking of meeting rooms, organising catering and providing a meet and greet function for visitors. The Executive Assistant’s will also be required to prioritise the Executive’s emails, manage telephone calls, prepare daily briefing packs and book and coordinate travel. In addition to the above duties there will be an added function of assisting in large scale recruitment activities. The client is happy to engage candidates via S.26 transfer or on a Labour Hire or Non-ongoing contract.

What you'll get in return
Previous high level experience as an Executive Assistant or a related coordination role within the APS is non-negotiable for this position. You will need to be adaptable as you will be working in a highly reactive environment and will need to possess critical thinking and problem solving skills. You will need to be comfortable with high level mailbox management as both teams receive a huge amount of incoming correspondence. You will need to have the ability to manage upwards and set realistic expectations for those around you. The client is looking for a driven individual with a can-do attitude who is looking to make this role their own. These are not your typical ES roles, both clients are committed to assisting the successful candidates with further career growth opportunities. A Baseline level clearance or higher will be required to work in both teams.
