Your new company
This Federal Government Department has a key focus on National Interest and Policies to safeguard the Australian Country. The branch we are working with has a key focus on developing and implementing nation strategies and policies in line with frameworks, guidelines, and legislation, and within this branch the team you are working with will be developing specific policies pertaining to the subject matter.

Your new role
This is an exciting role where you are required to undertake a range of support services including
    • engaging and identifying solutions to issues and opportunities in the Program
    • Facilitating workshops, summarising findings, translating project ideas
    • Leading projects and managing change to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the program.
    • Engaging stakeholders with regular and ad-hoc briefing material on program management issues.
    • Consulting program delivery experts to identify and interpret emerging trends or issues across the program and report to the senior executive.
    • Developing, monitoring and managing project plans working across policy and program delivery stakeholders within Division, Group and across portfolios
    • Managing change to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the program
  • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of legislative, financial and administrative frameworks, and agency guidelines

What you'll need to succeed

To thrive in this role, it is imperative that you possess
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Logical and analytic thinking.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
  • Capability to quickly develop subject matter expertise including an understanding of technical, legislative and procedural aspects of program management and caseloads.
