APS5/6 Service Design Officer

Multiple APS5/6 positions | 12 month non-ongoing salary contract | Canberra

Your new company
This high-profile Government Department is working at the forefront of delivering policies and programs contributing to Australia’s national security and emergency management. Currently they have a need for a number of APS5/6 staff to support delivery modernisation efforts.

Your new role
You will be working within a team that is managing a transformation project with a focus on improving business processes. Within this capacity, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions
  • Coordinating meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings, and producing reports from the outcomes of these meeting
  • Performing requirements analysis
  • Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
  • Updating, implementing, and maintaining standard operating procedures
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position you will be able to demonstrate:
  • Previous experience across service delivery, processing and/or business improvement activities
  • High attention to detail and the ability to deep dive into processes and procedures
  • Experience designing process maps for operational driven work
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills, including the development of briefings and guidelines for stakeholders of all levels

To be eligible for this position you must be a current Australian citizen, and hold or be willing to obtain a minimum Baseline AGSVA security clearance.
