Your new company
This large government department is in Central Canberra . The department has a focus on developing polices and procedures to enhance Australia. Specializing in world class research, analysis and advice to inform strategic policy and decision making.
Your new role as an APS4 Executive Assistant, you will work collaboratively with the Assistant Secretary and departmental staff across the Branch to ensure work priorities are achieved in a timely manner. You will provide comprehensive administrative support, by undertaking a wide range of duties which may include:
- Administration assistance
- Monitoring of EPD inbox
- Coordinating/ managing regular Coords (EPD Leave calendar, EPD Comms calendar etc.)
- Monthly reporting
- Assist with PDMS\
- Assist with management of SPIRE (information system)
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will be required to have previous experience as an APS Executive Assistant. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team as well as the ability to handle all staff levels. Demonstrated experience in prioritising, coordinating and managing support. Providing a high level of attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Great writing skills. Also proficient in desktop applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
You must be an Australian citizen and possess or be willing to go through the process to obtain and maintain a Baseline personnel security clearance.
