Our client is a large Australian Government ministry responsible for our national security, emergency management and border control.
Your new role
Join an active project of work tasked with building new critical API’s that will showcase how API technology will transform the way we work. The new APIs will allow us to link our new technologies with old, enable us to work more efficiently and deliver benefits for the government and industry. Showcasing the APIs will enable this branch to drive organisational change through this project by promoting the tools we have, increasing visibility of the transformational work we are doing, providing API knowledge sharing across the department and by up upskilling our developers.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed you will need experience in the following:
- 3+ years experience in API development and API-First Domain Driven Design including building, developing, supporting and enhancing APIs (micro-services) using IBM API Connect.
- Experience building API Gateway capability in the Cloud, Containerisation (docker/Kubernetes), Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Knowledge and experience of API lifecycle design using one or more of the following; Creating Swagger/OpenAPI Specification, API policy and security, SOAP/WSDL and XSD/XML/XSLT documents, YAML, JSON and REST.
- Experience delivering API’s in any of the following; .Net Web API, Java Spring, Node.js or equivalent.
- Experience with Event Driven Design.
